Still Think Social Media Is A Fad?

This video has been making the rounds...it contains a lot of information about the social media "revolution".  For me, the money quote is:

"We no longer search for news, the news finds us..."

Enjoy.

The Economist made a similar video that is just as compelling.

Wow. Powerfully effective/informative video.

That quote struck me as well...news that the Iranian government closed three newspapers on Tuesday makes an interesting contrast. We are lucky to have social media but with an abundance of information, it's easy to find only the information you seek (or have it find you). I think that underscores the importance of newspapers post-Web 2.0.

Just a quick reminder to everyone that when you are on LinkedIn, FaceBook, etc. and a contact mentions that they are looking for work in the legal field (or looking to hire an attorney or other legal professional) please recommend that they check out www.lawjobs.com.

Your contacts will appreciate the advice and it is ALM's site.

Thanks!
