Meaningful Quotes Contest
When we painted the walls at 120 Broadway to match our new brand colors (red and gold), we covered over the words that had appeared in some places--the definition of "Incisive", our Core Values, etc. So now the walls are blank and there's been a suggestion that we should put something on them.
Our rebranding team has suggested that we find some inspiritional quotes that relate to our mission, our values or whatever we would all find motivating. And they have launched a contest to unearth some suggestions. Here are the rules:
Contest Guidelines: We ask participants to email quotes related to the legal, real estate or business arena. Due to space and cost limitations, the quote must be between 20 and 40 words. Quotes can be from any source, living or dead, famous or unknown. These messages will be displayed on several walls at 120 Broadway.
Judging will be based on the quote's applicability to the markets we serve and its potential to support ALM core values. Finalists will be entered to win a $100 AMEX gift card. You do not have to work at 120 Broadway in order to participate--we'll take good ideas from anywhere.
Please submit quotations to marketing@alm.com no later then November 10th. Or share them in the comment space below and I'll make sure that the branding team takes them into consideration. Let's see how creative and inspirational you all can be!.

Bill, I'll donate $50 to ALS foundation (and match anybody else's donation up to $100 total) to have NO QUOTES on the walls near LTN & NLJ.
Unless, of course, you want to paint "2009 World Champion Yankees" -- that would be OK with me. I like Navy blue as the paint color.
